Reflection pond great for wildlife

We were delighted to be open to non residents by appointment on a Tuesday and Thursday through the Open Garden Scheme.  Chris and Kate have put an enormous amount of work into the gardens over the past 3 years and so we thought it was a good time to open them up to the public.

The representatives from the local committee were wonderful companions as Kate and I took them round the gardens, they commented that although they live close by they hadn’t realised the extent and variety in the garden.

We loved welcoming people to view the gardens and we offered tea and homemade baking in The Bothy which seemed to be very much enjoyed.

We hope that we appeal to all sorts of people who enjoy gardens including children who can have a wonderful time exploring Madeira and discovering The Dragons Nest, The Fairy Tree, The Viking Shelter and swinging on trees above the wee stream.

We open again in April 2023.
