Weddings at Madeira in Fife
Madeira’s large and wild garden with its 2 acre Walled Garden with accommodation on site makes it a perfect choice for an intimate Garden or Rustic wedding. Its tranquil surroundings complete with its unique entertaining areas, make it an enviable choice for all brides and grooms. And its within easy commute of Edinburgh and Dundee where guests can fly or get the train to.
The destination is best suited for small to medium sized wedding for up to 60 guests where you have the freedom and flexibility to arrange your own catering options or get us to organise it all for you.
Best of all? You won’t have to share this with anyone because you will have the venue exclusively to yourself. No bumping into other hotel guests or feeling that you might be sharing the rest of your day with others. And your wedding weekend will last 3 days so you’ll be able to spend time with your loved ones and make plenty of memories.
Madeira is a venue that impresses from the minute you arrive right until after you are admiring your wedding photographs for years to come.
Accommodation
We have a total 6 cottages within the estate. There are a 8 bedrooms which offer the flexibility to be both twin or double, accommodating up to 16.
In addition to this, we offer 6 double sofa beds that will extend the total capacity if Madeira in Fife to 28.
Your service
Your ceremony can take place in the garden and you can literally pick your spot. It’s very rustic and natural and your ceremony can be delivered under an apple tree, in the woods by the snow drops or blue bells, in The Bothy or perhaps at The Dell. The walled garden can also be used for the ceremonial part of your celebration next to the arbour or on the lawn. If it was raining or cold your ceremony could be moved to The Bothy, or into The Stretch Tent.
Your wedding meal
Our gorgeous Bothy can comfortably accommodate up to 32 guests for a seated meal and the colours and decoration can be adapted to your style. Or you can make use of our stretch tent which can take up to 60 seated or 80 standing for a finger buffet. We can organise catering on site, food trucks, picnics, BBQ’s, Hog Roats etc or you can organise the catering yourself.
We also have pop up tents, garden furniture, small fire pits, lanterns and lighting to make the atmosphere really special and ensure you have all the space you’ll need to enjoy your special day.
Evening reception
For your reception, our stretch tent can accommodate 60 seated with a dancefloor space and space for your band. We also have a link with Ovenstone 109 just up the road where you can hold a reception of up to 150 people. So why not get married in the gardens at Madeira, maybe have your wedding meal in the Bothy then invite your evening guests to Ovenstone for a party.
