This Halloween, we’re doing something a little different at Madeira
We’re running our own retreat; three nights of folklore, fire and letting go, set among the wild gardens, cosy cottages and tree houses of the East Neuk of Fife
We’re calling it the Witchy Bitchy Retreat
What to expect
Blending local East Neuk folklore, somatic practice and practical spirituality, the retreat is designed to give you space to rest deeply, reconnect with yourself, and carry home rituals that nourish long after the weekend ends.
It’s built around sisterhood within the coven, thoughtfully curated, playful and irreverent, but profoundly healing underneath. Across the three days, you can expect:
- Letting-go rituals and soft embodiment practices to make the magick stick
- Candlelit circles and a hearth night with storytelling
- Nature immersion in Madeira’s calm, wild gardens
- Wild swimming and sauna sessions, if you fancy it
- Delicious, hearty food and wine
- Plenty of time to simply be also – walk, rest, talk, recoup
Massage can also be arranged separately throughout your stay for anyone who’d like a little extra pampering.
Where you’ll stay
You’ll be based across Madeira’s nine cottage bedrooms and three tree houses, several with king-sized beds, with both twin and single occupancy available.
Why Madeira
Set in the East Neuk of Fife, Madeira’s wild gardens and versatile spaces make it a distinctive backdrop for a retreat like this, somewhere between the ordinary and the otherworldly, which felt right for a weekend built around folklore and letting go
