The answer depends on where you choose to stay! Because our accommodations offer very different experiences, we have two different policies:

In our Treehouses: No. To protect the local woodland floor and maintain the tranquility of the elevated decks, the treehouses are a pet-free zone.

In our Cottages: Yes! We are very happy to welcome four-legged friends to our terraced cottages. We allow one large dog or two small dogs per cottage. We simply ask that they stay off the furniture and are kept on a lead in communal areas.

Our three treehouses, The Glade, The Dell, and The Dreel, are designed specifically for couples or solo traveler’s. Each treehouse sleeps 2 adults in a cozy mezzanine bedroom. Due to the height and design, they are reserved for guests aged 12 and over. If you are looking for a couple trip why not book two treehouses? We recommend The Glade & The Dreel Treehouse for this.

While all three share a beautiful mid-century Scandi aesthetic and views over the Firth of Forth, they offer slightly different outdoor experiences:

The Dreel: Features a large wood-burning hot tub on the deck, perfect for a soak under the stars, it just requires a few hours to warm up!

The Dell: A long style wood-burning hot tub with instant hot water.

The Glade: Offers a charming outdoor bathtub (hot and cold water) for a unique woodland bathing experience & instant hot water.

Absolutely! We offer different levels of exclusivity depending on the size and nature of your stay:

• Self-Catering Exclusive (Cottages Only): Ideal for large families or groups, you can book all cottages on-site exclusively. This gives you 9 bedrooms, use of The Bothy communal space, and access to the three cottage hot tubs.
• Full Site Exclusivity: For total privacy, you can rent the entire estate. This includes all cottages plus our 3 Luxury Treehouses, providing a total of 12 bedrooms. You will have use of The Bothy, all cottage hot tubs, and the private facilities at the Treehouses.
• Bespoke Events: If you are planning a wedding, retreat, or corporate reset, please get in touch for a formal quote. These bookings are tailored to your specific needs.

Customising Your Stay If you require extra space for tents, use of the Wild Dining area, or would like to add The Cave to your booking (which is not included in the standard price), please speak with Tara, and she will be happy to help you coordinate the details.

Yes, we provide free on-site parking and Wi-Fi in all our accommodations.

For our Treehouse guests, please note that the dedicated car park is located about 100m away. The walk to your accommodation is via a stony path that is not suitable for roller bags/suitcases. Because of the path and the access up the spiral staircase, we highly recommend packing into smaller, easy-to-carry bags (like duffels or backpacks) for your stay in the Treehouses.

We offer a variety of spaces to suit different group sizes, with a total site capacity of 36 guests. Across the estate, we have 24 bedrooms in total; 21 of these can be configured as either Twin or Super King beds, while the remaining 3 feature King beds. We also have 7 double sofa beds available across the site.

• The Gardeners Cottage: Our largest space, now sleeping up to 8 guests (6 in bedrooms + 2 on a double sofa bed). It is the perfect hub for families or retreat groups.
• The Terraced Cottages: Each cottage sleeps 2 guests in the main bedroom, with a double sofa bed in the lounge to accommodate up to 4 guests total.
• The Studio Cottage: A cozy, self-contained space perfect for couples or solo travellers.
• The Treehouses: Our three luxury treehouses provide a unique stay for 2 guests with King beds, offering a peaceful elevated escape.

A Note on Bedding: Because 21 of our bedrooms can be set up as either Twin or Super King, we can easily adapt the rooms to suit your group’s specific needs—just let us know your preference!

We are an easy 10-15 minute walk (approx. 1 mile) from the heart of Pittenweem. You can easily reach the harbour, local pubs, and the famous Fife Coastal Path on foot.

Yes! Most of our accommodations feature traditional wood-burning hot tubs for an authentic “slow living” experience. Because we prioritize hygiene, water is changed between every booking (a process that takes 12 hours). Please note that you are responsible for lighting and tending the fire to get your tub to the perfect temperature. It’s all part of the experience—so pour a glass of wine, grab a game, and enjoy the process!

• Winter Heating: In freezing conditions, please allow extra time as the tubs will naturally take longer to reach temperature.
• Firewood & Supplies: We provide enough wood, kindling, and eco-firelighters for your first night.
• Need more wood? Extra supplies can be purchased easily through your Booking Guest Area or, if you are staying in the cottages, directly from The Bothy.

While our cottages were not specifically designed for full wheelchair access, we aim to be as accommodating as possible for guests with limited mobility.

Please keep the following details in mind when planning your stay:

• Entry & Terrain: There is at least one step up into each cottage. While parking is located very close to the entrances, the ground is surfaced with gravel, which can be challenging for some manual wheelchairs.
• Mobility Aids: If a guest uses a wheelchair but has some standing mobility, the cottages can be navigated. We can also provide a shower chair upon request.
• Bathroom Facilities:
  • Cottages 3 & 5: Feature walk-in showers.
  • Gardeners Cottage: The ensuite bathroom includes a walk-in shower.
  • Cottages 1, 2, & 4: Feature baths with overhead showers.
• Treehouses: Please note that the Treehouses are accessed via a stony path and spiral staircases, making them unsuitable for those with significant mobility restrictions.

Yes, we are happy to help accommodate our younger guests! We can provide cots and high chairs for your stay upon request. To ensure we have everything ready and waiting for you in your accommodation, please let us know you require them at the time of booking or via your Guest Area before you arrive.
