Seafood Bonanza In Your Cottage

As you may know much of our local shellfish from The East Neuk, normally goes abroad, however, in recent years, and more recently through the pandemic, more shellfish has become available locally. When you are renting  a cottage you can sample this easily by having fresh shell fish delivered to your door either cooked or uncooked, you can go down to Pittenweem harbour and buy it, or you can go to one of the local eateries.

So our favorites are: The East Pier Smokehouse in St Monans (eat in or take away), Haar Restaurant (eat in or take away) and The Seafood Restaurant (eat in), both in St Andrews and of course our very own local Dory Bistro in the harbour at Pittenweem. If you want to cook in your cottage or have a picnic in the gardens or on the beach you can order from Langoustine The Box (lobster, crab and langoustine who deliver or you can pick up) and also from Ainsdale Shellfish Ltd who take your order then go out and fish for what you want from Pittenweem. David Lowrie Fish Merchants and G and J Wilson have units in St Monans where you can browse and shop. Between them, they offer everything you could possibly want.
